The 1-5/8″ thick top (SAFMRDT6630SDD, SAFMRDT7230SDD and SAFMRDT7236SDD sold separately) appears to float because it sits on top of black, discreet steel brackets on this pedestal base and a second pedestal (sold separately). Top and bases are made of particleboard and covered in smooth, Sand Dune laminate.
